Our Anniversary
Seems like we just had one of these last year, oh yeah! Just kidding. My problem is finding something to do for it. I love him, he loves me, we know that. He's REALLY romantic, I'm REALLY NOT! I'm trying. Jim made me an appt to get my nails done today, and hates that that's all he's done so far, but come on what else is there up here? I'm trying to plan a date. One he will like. My perfect date? Horror movie with blood guts and checking under my bed for monsters, a BIG steak dinner and bed! Not his idea of a romantic date. Any ideas?? Oh happy anniversary Cori and Danny Reiswig!

Suspended!
Maybe not great for a public blog and by no means am I actually condoning it, but I'm not mad and wanted to journal it.
Thursday night Alex went to a soccer game and was texting me from there and telling me that his ex friend kept running his mouth about his sister and me. Being a gross boy. He was getting really mad but I told him to leave it alone. Friday at school he couldn't leave it alone anymore. Apparently, from Alex and 4 witnesses that told the school officer, the boy kept running his mouth and got even more vulgar. Alex picked him up, threw him on the desk and then threw him onto the floor before being pulled away from him. The other boy didn't fight back but still got the same 3 day suspension for the filth he was saying.
Alex isn't in trouble at home. But.. he is learning that it's not vacation being suspended. If he isn't in school he is working. Not punishment, just working. Glad he stood up for his sister but he need to thicken his skin a little, she will be in the high school next year and she's very pretty and he will probably hear a lot more. As for me, I told Alex that I've been called worse by better people and it doesn't phase me. Hard situation but the school did what they had to even though the officer didn't really want to suspend him but rules are rules.

My first day back to school
Today I had my CPR for Health care professionals. From 8am until 6. But I got done at 3. I was so nervous this morning and tried to find my class room and couldn't and wanted to cry. I found it and things went smooth after that. I learned adult, child and infant CPR, how to use a defibrillator and what to do if someone chokes. Signs of heart attack, stroke, choking and stuff like that. Jim took me to lunch on my bread and bought me an energy shot and kept telling me how proud he was of me all day. My friend Marci sent me an encouraging text on my way to class that I really needed. What a great friend. I took my final test and got 100%. Yeah for ME!!! My EMT classes start next Wednesday because Monday is a holiday. I know I will be nervous but not as bad as today. I LOVED IT!!!! I was teasing the kids and had them take a picture of me just like I do of them on their first day of school. It turned into a fight because Trever was the only one ready so he got to touch my new camera and nobody else gets too.

Back to School
I am so nervous, or scared or something. Tomorrow is my CPR class from 8:00 am until 6:00pm. I got my book today but I am incredibly nervous. Next Monday my EMT classes start 3 days a week from 7:30-9:50. I hear it's a hard class but I'm a pretty good student. For me it's a new chapter of my life. Expanding myself from only being a mom to do something I've really always been interested in. Just need to get over the first day jitters. Wish me luck! I could be saving your life one day. (hopefully not yours)

New Years 2011
We don't go out, ever. So the kids decided last second to have a few friends over and watch a movie and hang out. It was fun... for them. We keep saying to ourselves that at least they are here and not out doing what their friends want them to do. They acted like dorks, it was fun. And I took some cool, fun pictures. WITH MY NEW CAMERA!
No resolutions, ok that's a lie.
1. No wrecking any cars
2. No buying any Big trucks
3. No moving
4. NO PUSHING ANYONE DOWN THE STAIRS!!
I think I'll stick with these ones, since I did them all last year.
(in no way is this any confession to pushing anyone down the stairs)
One downfall of a new camera is a TON of pictues... is that a downfall?

The BIG storm
This is totally blog worthy! The day I wrecked my car the rain started. It didn't quit until after Christmas. We had 10 inches in the first storm and close to that in the second. This caused major flooding, where Erskine creek overflowed and closed our road from our house to town. It also caused a major rock slide in the canyon that still has the canyon closed. They had to blow up the rocks to haul them out. It flooded Havila and Caliente so Lions trail was in and out. Walkers pass was in and out because it kept getting closed because of snow. Same with Greenhorn, lots of snow up there on the mountains. Not to mention the bridge on the backside of the lake washed away, and a HUGE part of the road back there gone. With all the outlets of our valley being closed it would be my luck that I needed to be in Bakersfield many times over those two weeks. Good thing we had the truck with 4-wheel drive because I swear we used it more than we ever did in Colorado.
