We spent most of the day at the River yesterday with friends, and are going to the lake today again with the same friends. (mostly) I am starting to feel like a Kern Valley River Rat! It's nice to be able to enjoy our lake and river in the summer, during the week. On the weekends it is over ran by L.A. people and they make it miserably impossible to do anything on the lake, river, or even in town. Oh well, that's why I'll enjoy it during the week. Only 3 weeks until school starts back up, and football/cheer starts Monday, so it looks like my fun summer is almost over.

I'm a little sad at how quickly this summer is going by. I'm not ready for football, or school to start. I've spent more time in water this summer than I have in the past five years combined, I guess living so close to it makes a big difference.
Had fun with you both days. Glad you guys made it. My girls really enjoy hanging out with your girls! And of course I love all the "mom" bonding we all get to do while our kids play. By the way, who took the picture when you were in the water with us?
Jimi took the picture of all of us. I have LOVED hanging by the lake or the river. Let's keep doing it even after school starts.
