Christmas, Politics, and Blessings!!!

Here it is December and I haven't posted for a really long time. Busy time of year I guess. The tree is up, and the money is gone... Jim is working like crazy and isn't pleased about it. Verizon made Saturdays optional and Sundays mandatory, he is thinking about filing a grievance with the union, it just doesn't seem right to us.

Well, I usually don't talk politics but... I am so a fan of Mitt Romney!!! (no dad, not JUST because he is Mormon!) I really like his views and I did have mixed feelings about having him in the White house, but more and more I think he is the man for the job!! Check out http://www.mittromney.com/ to see all about him. It drives me nuts to hear and see how many people out there really believe we aren't Christians, WE ARE!!! The picture above is in the visitor center of many (maybe all) of the Temples that anyone is welcome to go see. So if anyone is thinking of NOT voting for Romney because he is Mormon check out the REAL Mormon web site and learn about it for yourself. www.lds.org and listen to Romney's latest speech on faith, he's not trying to convert anyone, but he does have the morals and values that MANY of our former presidents never had! I am a Mormon, I believe Jesus Christ is the son of God, and our Savior for all mankind. But, being a Mormon means I have ALL the facts that many other Christian religions don't have. We don't believe they are bad people, anyone who loves Christ, and serves others and teaches out of the Bible are on the right track, and we follow the teachings of the Holy Bible, so "thou shalt not judge" Ok, there is my political speech.
Now this brings me to a little more on Christmas. As you all know, our scare with Jimi this year has put a whole new perspective on things for our family. Financially it was and still is, hard to overcome, so we sat the kids down and explained to them that Christmas wouldn't be big this year, and they said "Presents aren't what Christmas is about, it's Jesus Birth, and remembering Him and all of our blessings" (yes it brought a tear to my eye) They finally understand!! And a little corny for some of you, but for me remembering Christ's birth makes me remember my own kids births, and the great joy I had, and that Heavenly Father was sure to have too, along with Joseph and Mary. But this year it also reminds me of the sacrifice that Jesus made for us, took upon him our sins so that we could be saved, and I can't imagine what Father in Heaven felt watching his son suffer the way he did. We know the pain of watching our child suffer, but God could have taken it all away, but didn't so that we could be redeemed for our sins. I prayed that I could take Jimi's pain away and I would have. And that touches me that the love that our Father in Heaven has for each of us is so much greater than we could EVER imagine!! To all of you reading, I love you. And I pray that you all remember the true meaning of Christmas! Merry Christmas to all!!!
